Hematopoietic progenitor cells are multipotent, self-renewing stem cells that give rise to all blood cells types: lymphoid, myeloid, and erythroid lineages. HPCs are found in and can be recovered from adult peripheral blood, adult bone marrow, and neonatal umbilical cord blood. HPCs collected from peripheral blood by apheresis are for research or clinical use.
Hematopoietic progenitor cells are collected from GCSF-mobilized whole blood by apheresis. ACD anticoagulant is used at a ratio of 1:13, with a guarantee of at least 1.8 billion cells per product. However, HPC apheresis product may be collected to the specifications of the customer, such as a target number of cells or blood volume processed. In addition, if unique donor characteristics are specified, we are positioned to recruit the type of donors needed. Post-collection processing, HPC enumeration and/or isolation, and cryopreservation are additional services available upon request. Technical Description PDF
CD34+ HPCs can be also isolated directly from bone marrow or cord blood products by custom request. Specify the desired source of HPCs on the “Customize” tab. In addition, specify demand frequency, storage and shipping temperature, donor characteristics, additional processing, or testing needs by clicking on “Customize” tab.
